if you think its still a fuel air issue.. what do you recommend next?
check agin for air leaks around the base of the carb. if you can find one, just put a known well running carb on the thing for a baseline. chances are there is a clogging somewhere inside if it sat for anytime at all. today's fuels are notorius for that.

2000 in park is way high should be 650-900 or so.still sounds like a vacuum leak.

Well I had enough and took it to my INDIE... He pulled out the carb, adjusted a few internal items and now it runs great!!

He found some other things that a 40 year old car need but that was to be expected.
