Thanks for the birthday wishes. I just finished a 4000 mile voyage in my Buick Roadmaster from Wichita to Los Angeles, Monterrey, Las Vegas, and the Colorado Rockies, turning the Roadie over 100k on the way back down to LA from an overnight stop on the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obisbo. What a great trip; some of it was solitary but the majority was with close friends and family who joined for portions of the trip. Hate to say it but this is the third time I've done a Kansas to California run and the Roadmaster makes it pretty much effortless compared to previous in an '85 300D and 95 E320.

Here are a few photos:

California Highway 1

Million Dollar Hotel Parking lot at the Martinne Inn Monterrey. This was my view from breakfast.

Madonna Inn, with each room being its own wacky theme. Mine was "American Home"

How did that beast handle the turns on highway 1? What a fun road to drive!

I just did the same trip last week; but I flew in to L.A. and slowly tripped up the coast to Monterey over several days....nice and cool. Went to Hearst Castle. I know I saw a Roadmaster...it kinda stands out.

I flew in on the evening of the 4th of July.....the fireworks shows from the air across the USA and across L.A. were "once in a lifetime' spectacular!

When you was in Vegas, did you stop and see Chum Lee at the pawn shop?

Did you see the Roadmaster at Hearst Castle? I was there on July 12th. It does get more attention than any car I've had.

Chum was not there. Just the Old Man and Cory.
