Unpatriotic bastards, shoot them.

So when are we going to let our leaders do the dangle dance from a hemp rope and fix this problem? The little kids have played in the sandbox long enough, its time for the big kids to fix it.

When is the silent majority going to move and demand an end to these little kid games the repub's and dems are playing with our lives?

If we're going to shoot someone for treason, shoot the scum who got us into endless war without having the scrotal fortitude to raise taxes. That is all.

The fun and games in the US make me not want to come back. Of course, I will, if only to sublet my apartment for a year and buy a one-way plane ticket to a

Also, whatever happened to the US through the 60s, which had a "can-do" attitude, rather than the "zOMG, we might get sued if we do this, so we'll do 343 252 453 studies and still get nothing done, so we'll let infrastructure continue to slowly ROT." Gee, wonder why NYC didn't get the Olympics.

Not to mention the oddly high property taxes in American cities. Love the fact that cities pay much of the Federal tax burden, but don't get much back -- looking at "welfare" vs "producer" states, the hayseed rural places get most of the Fed funding while paying little.

The GOP would not agree to trade Alaska without throwing in Hawaii. Imbalance in red and blue Senate seats.

If you read the report from S&P you will realize that they did not downgrade our debt, they downgraded our political system.

It isn't really our ability or inability to repay the debt, it's the politicians/political system being able to work together to make the payments.

If you saw the frontline episode about troubled soldiers that came back to Colorado Springs and one killed another when out partying one nite, My first thought was---Why didn't they go on one more mission--a Personal one.
They should have took a cruise up thru Woodland Park and on to Buena Vista--then north to Twin lakes and hooked a left then /\ over independence pass to the town of Aspen, and found out where the POS's compound is, And put an end to him - permanently, instead of killing each other.

Nothing significant right now. In future if they don't get their asses in gear it'll mean inflation, rising interest rates and a decline in the value of the dollar. In other words yanks will be a lot poorer than they are now.

S&P's credit ratings are irrelevant. Every time there is an economy freak out everybody dumps their stock and buys treasuries. That won't change with S&P's opinion. The credit rating agencies lost all credibility in 2008. Don't believe me? Look up the interest rate on AAA rated bund's vs AA+ rated treasuries.
