I figured out why I prefer velour to leather -
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/170676729214 Velour is the choice of someone who can afford a LWB 600. Leather is for the guy who parks it. Sixto 87 300D |
I still have the bench seats from the 309d lorry--Same blue ***** coviring them, damn its itchy stuff.

Yeah the Queen rides on velour, leather is for the help.

Velour is nice on those super cold or super hot days. It can also be softer than leather (Have you ever sat in a Mk3 VW with leather? It's like sitting on beef jerky!) I found it a lot harder to keep clean though. The extra grip it gives you in the seat is nice for those of us who take corners at more then 5 mph ;)
That said I did swap leather into my Jetta and specifically sought it out when I was shopping for my Benz. -Jason |
I had velour in my Lincoln Town Car. It was a bit better than leather/tex about being comfortable on entering the car during very high or low temperatures.
