How I spent my Tuesday night:

Started with Mr. Earle apologizing in advance if any of his harmonica spittle landed in our dinner

That's a cell phone pic. No zoom. Couldn't have gotten any more front and center without joining him on stage. AWESOME show. Love the venue (Ramshead On Stage in Annapolis).

Wound it down by wandering to the other side of the building (Ramshead Tavern) to watch Swampcandy for a bit before meandering home in the wee hours of the morning:

Whole lot less light in the tavern . Couldn't get a shot that included both Ruben (lead guy) and Joey (utterly insane upright bass and kick drum kid).

Much fun and relaxation with Darling Wife.

Saw him in Charlotte, NC a couple of years ago and it was an amazing show. Allison did an opening set, then Steve started. About the first third of the show was what I was expecting. Then, without introduction, a big dude with a shaved head came out on stage behind Steve and started backing him up scratching records on a pair of turntables. He added a hip hop funk to Steve's solo guitar and vocals. It probably sounds like it would be horrible, but it was mesmerizing. They carried on for the rest of the show, with the missus joining them for the last few. This was a radical new twist on some of the finest Americana music ever performed(IMO). Absolutely unforgettable.

Leave it to Steve URL to push the envelope.

Steve does put on a great show. Got to see him about two years ago in a small venue.

What was just as much fun was getting to watch his sister, Stacey, perform in a private home show.
