Demand for clean W123's going up?

Since I bought my car, I've had at least 5 offers to buy, either verbally or via notes stuck under the wiper. It looks nice in the pic, but does have some rust and have 200k+ miles on it, so this surprises me.

it is rare in that it still has shiny paint. I bet it is much more sought after as most all I see are quite faded

Nice- midnight blue? I also have had a stickies and a business cards on occassion. Both times it was somebody thinking a blue haired lady owned it and they could steel it for a few hundred bucks.

^^^

Hah, not selling mine. May trade for something suitably weird (80s Alfa or Citroen CX) if someone is interested in doing so, even if I have to throw in a bit of cash.

If you want to keep it. I hope in new york state you put it off the road for the winter. Clean examples as far north as you are are not all that common.

I am even further north in the rustbelt and try to preserve one very clean example I still have. My others are more or less run of the mill. Yet still not exposed to road salt in the winter.

I oiled the undercarriage before winter and washed it frequently, but YEAH I drove it. No room for a second car in Manhattan, and even this one gets frequently garaged out in NJ.

I've had lots of inquiries in the last 6 months. Notes under the wiper, "hey is that your car?" in parking lots etc. Sorting it out now after taking it back from my son and keep going back and forth on whether to sell or not. Some of the askers though have been freaks looking for a beater to burn old fryer oil. I throw them a silly price and they go away. If I do decide to sell, it's not gonna be given away.
