Tracking iPhone data usage
 

I'm helping a friend figure out how she's getting close to the 2gb data limit when she doesn't use her phone for movies, videos or browsing. We tried an app called Consume but it hangs. Is there something better to figure out which app is the data hog?

Wow. Something must be running the background or something. Last time I talked with AT&T something like 95% of all users use less than 2GB on their smartphones (me included). I would almost recommend backup and restore the phone from fresh.

No need for an app. Go into settings, then into "general", there is a usage option. Hit that, you can reset it whenever. Turns out I've only used 1.5GB the entire time I've had my iPhone haha

Maybe she has been sending or receiving some pics that are way too high resolution.

with AT&T dial *3282# to get a text of data usage. I don't use too much data a month. If I don't have wifi I dip into data. I know to not download movies over 3G
