Who has had kidney stones?
How long did it take to pass them? What helped you get through the experience?

True story. From 25+ years ago. She was half-a-dozen years younger than I. She pushed all the right buttons and i was very aroused and responsive. While engaged, actually I think I had was just 'gliding back down' the stone passed as a bloody discharge about 3 to 4 mm. I don't think she saw me again after that. |

It is a NSAID analgesic pain killer. Works best IV, but there are pills.

Have you tried Apple Cider Vinegar? I use it during gout episodes and gout and stones can be related. Your stones may be uric acid crystals, which are the same thing that causes gout. I won't argue the science here, but it works for me. I take a shot of organic ACV, the cloudy kind with the "mother" in it, three times a day and drink lots of water. You can mix it with honey or dilute it with water. When I feel a gout episode coming on if I start the vinegar regimen fast enough it'll nip it in the bud. I've heard it can help disolve stones also. Couldn't hurt unless you've got Barrett's Esophagus or something.

I had one once. Dreadful experience. I woke up abou 04:00 with a stabbing pain in my penis thinking what the hell? Got worse with each heartbeat. I figured I'd go in to work which was about a half hours drive away as there was a hospital nearby if I needed it. Almost there it was obvious I wsan't going to make it to work so went direct to hospital instead. By the time I was about a mile away I couldn't sit in the car seat, I had to lean on my left elbow on the window ledge and raise my body off the seat to try and control the pain. Mad it to the emergency room and parked in the parking lot. Walked up to the doors to find a sign saying ambulence cases only. Bent literally double by now staring a my shoes I made it round to the other side of the building with the "walk in" entrance and staggere in. Nurse took one look and said "kidney stones' and I was whisked into the hospital. I remember lying on the gurney some time before five am, phoning my boss and girlfriend and telling them where I was. The pain was so sever by now that the medication they gave me wasn't working so the doc gave me something stronger. Whatever it was it dulled the pain enough that I was at least coherent. The scan confimed the diagnosis and they said basically bed rest till it' passes and my g/f came to pick me up as I was in no condition to drive I told the doc before I was discharged "whatever that stuff you gave me was I need more of it or I'm not going to make it" so they gave me another dose. I don't remember much about the rest of the day except....
I remember it was drizzling lightly as my g/f led me to her car. I remember a wheelchair. I remember being extremely nauseous but not actually throwning up, I remember windshield wipers and I remember strange bumpy rough looking stuff that turned out be lanscape gravel about six inches from my face. I'd nearly passed out just before she got me into her apartment. I do remember some guy walking buy offering help and my g/f saying something about kidney stones. I remember her putting me into bed at about 06:00, she hadnt even left for work yet and I remember her and her kids greeting me whent hey came home from work that evening. Beyond that I remember nothing. Whatever that stuff was it was "good **** man". The pain was reduced enough that I could get myself back home the following day and I passed the stone in a couple of trips ot the bathroom the next night. Tiny little grains not even a millimeter in size. Couldn't believe that they could cause such agony. So in a round about way I guess I'm saying I sympathise with you. Not an experience I'd ever like to repeat. - Peter.
