mb w116 window problem 300SD
 

i have a 1980 300sd the passenger front window will not go up w/o sticking.i have removed and checked both motor and regulator. the regulator looks like new,teeth match perfect.the problem is window goes up crookedly,the back of the glass goes up first and after a couple inches jams. i noticed the arm from the regulator only pushes up from the very back hence the pressure to go up is always on the very back of the slide.any suggestions anyone?

Isn't that a scissors lift with a front and back arm? Have you greased the slides?

no it does not have scissor lift that is 123.i have found the problem(s).who ever put in the new regulator bent up channel components.when removing the front channel they bent in the metal where the cloth/rubber window channel goes.i did not remove that i pulled the motor from behind. also when trying to adjust as soon as i tighten the bolts for the rear aluminum slide it gets worse.this is a come back to later job just put this car on road after sitting for 4 + years.it goes up better now so on to more important items.
