BEING good-looking is useful in so many ways.

In addition to whatever personal pleasure it gives you, being attractive also helps you earn more money, find a higher-earning spouse (and one who looks better, too!) and get better deals on mortgages. Each of these facts has been demonstrated over the past 20 years by many economists and other researchers. The effects are not small: one study showed that an American worker who was among the bottom one-seventh in looks, as assessed by randomly chosen observers, earned 10 to 15 percent less per year than a similar worker whose looks were assessed in the top one-third — a lifetime difference, in a typical case, of about $230,000.................

Similar study done on teacher evaluations a few years ago. Guess what kind of people tend to get higher evaluations?

Cougars like Mary Kay Letourneau and the blonde bombshell from FL. (can't remember her name)?:rolleyes:

20 or 30-something with 40-something woman = cougar.
Teen-something with the same woman = perv.

This being said, I'm 30 and I prefer them in their late 30s or 40s.

Drifting OT, but that's fine. Just don't marry one. Just read an article by a guy 47 who married way "up the line". Wife is 65, retired and starting to become forgetful & he's confused as $hit. ("How old AM I") :o

I know of at least one person with whom I'd take that risk. In a heartbeat. Tomorrow if we both agreed on it. Hell, if I could trade places with her and give her 15 years of my life, I'd do so in a second.

I could be hit by a bus tomorrow, so why worry about "maybes" 20-30 years from now? Plus I know of quite a few spouses who outlived their counterpart by 20+ years and were in good shape longer.

My grandma married a guy 10 years younger who got himself killed fighting for the resistance during WW II. She them married another younger man (15 years) who died of lung cancer 20 years ago, and she's still alive and well. Long family tradition here :D
