Kitchen faucet disassembly question

Got a kitchen faucet. Brand unidentifiable. Brushed stainless lever handles, center spout. Small drip from hot side. I can't figure out how to disassemble the handle to replace a washer or whatever is the problem inside. No visible screws. Tried turning the end of the lever to see if it screwed out. No dice. Anyone with any idea how this might come apart?

See if the cap on top of the lever pops off. It should have a screw underneath.

If there is no cap as previously suggested, pictures from various angles might prove useful.

The top of the lever at the stem is rounded metal, no cap. I also can't detect a cap at either end of the lever. Befuddled.

Picture please.

If this is a H/C single-lever unit there usually is a hidden allen-headed set screw.

If not the valves are so cheap you can replace the entire unit.

Try unscrewing the long part of the handle off. Perhaps a set screw is hidden in there.

I put a small pair of channelocks on it but it wouldn't turn.

My only other thought is that the end of the short side of the handle looks like it could be a cap.

I thought the same thing and tried to force a knife blade in there but no go.

I guess it's time for a new faucet set. I'm sure once you replace it, you'll figure it out.

Do you think they were made to not be serviced and that there isn't a practical way to renew/restore the washer/seat assembly?

It's possible. I bought the sink used with the faucet installed already.

I assume you have removed the assembly and after examining it on you work-bench have concluded there is no way to access what you need.

I ran into a similar situation a few years ago when I tried to replace the thermocouple on a hot water heater. No can do. Needed to but a new heater.

Let us know if you find a 'secret way' inside.
