Correct.

That is not the question. The question is wether industrial civilizatoin is altering the rate of atmospheric change such that it will depart precipitously from natural cycles and wether or not altering human behaviour can influence this.

That is a hopelessly simplistic view.

The thread's question is, "Can you find a pattern in this data."

I have linked to a site with data and tools especially amenable for analysis of cyclical phenomena.

Go forth and analyze.

But what if the phenomena isn't cyclic?

I also didn't see "pirates" as a selectable dataset, so I was unable to analyze causality between the quantity of pirates and temperature.

If the data are not cyclical then these particular tools would so indicate.

...or causality between the number of threads on OD hijacked by someone with a politically motivated agenda and a rise in global temperature.
