What has Peach Parts done for you?

I have learned a lot about my car here on PP. I have made many friends and am having a great time here. There was one thread where a poster said to turn your water heated temp down. I save $60 a month because I did what he said. To that poster I say thank you.

Given me an excuse to continue my hobby through difficult financial times/college...and the experience to know there is nothing more expensive than a cheap mercedes.

Met some good people. Saved thousands in repairs I've done myself instead of having my indy do it...

I've learned more than I will ever need to know about diesel engines and I learned how to do a brake job on W115/W123/W124/W126 cars. I really can't fully explain here the knowledge I have gained by being a member of this community since 4/1999. Trust me I have learned a whole lot about many different things by being here.

I came here in 2001 to learn how to replace a water pump on an OM616 in a 307d. Nobody here knew how and to this day, I believe I am the only one here who knows how to do it. One might assume the forum failed me. To the contrary, what I thought I needed to know was far outweighed by what I actually needed to know and didn't know that I needed to know it. I have since come to know a lot of what I didn't know I needed to know and am quite confident that I can deal with problems that arise in 616's and 617's.

You sound like Rummy: [T]here are known knowns; there are things we know we know.
We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.

Started out knowing squat about Mercedes and ultimately I kept a 'fleet' of 123s, a 126 and a 115 running for over 6 years...SWMBO would still be in her 300D if I had a concrete floor in my shop right now and I didn't have 35 cows, 4 dogs, 1 cat, a donkey, a Clydesdale and 117 acres vying for my time.

Met, both online and in person, some really interesting people.

Thanks for making it all happen!

The DD gave me valuable insights into what to look for when I was shopping for my 240D, and helped troubleshoot several issues successfully. OD is one of the more civilized forums I read, and topic are interesting and sometimes thought provoking.
So far nobody's mentioned Phil. Phil is solid Effing GOLD.

Temps under 140F can promote growth of Legionnaires Disease/bacteria in tank-type water heaters, just an FYI. It can cause pneumonia.
