But seriously, what civil remedies are proposed to go along with this new protected class?

All BS aside, the answer to the question is contained in pages 130-134 of the American Jobs Act, Subtitle D, Section 371, Short Title "The Fair Opportunity Employment Act 2011" from a quick read enforcement is basically simpatico with enforcement remedies of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Title VII, 42 USC 2000!

I can't figure a way to link the specific pages but anyone can find the full text as a PDF here:

American Jobs Act [Full Text]

Page 130 of the act is page 105 of the PDF file.

It really is amazing that the 1964 Civil Rights Act which was enacted to protect individuals from discrimination who had unifying characteristics of a protected classes within the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (1) a history of longstanding, widespread discrimination, (2) economic disadvantage, and (3) immutable characteristics; has been taken so low. To equate the discrimination based skin color or gender with alleged discrimination in hiring of unemployed people can only be an insult to anyone who has actually suffered. It truely seems to be further expansion of the progressive/liberal theology, that everyone is a victim of something.

I gotta ask- is there such a thing as a vaginoplasty If so- what exactly is it?

WOW! And to think I actually thought I busted you for using a made up word. With a proper breast enhancement the vaginoplasty would be unnecessary as no man would be looking that low anyway, so obamacare probably won't cover both. (unless you are transgendered of course). PS- I guess I could have looked it up myself, but my wife and kids use this computor too and I didn't want to try to explain that one!

You've got a point there, although I am not sure about that theology part. The 1964 Act was intended to remedy past wrongs and prevent future wrongs. The American Jobs Act seems more about social engineering. They don't want 55 year old people being thrown out into a lousy job market and then becoming unemployable. I would be interested in hearing why they think this is the way to do that. My gut reaction is that the language does more harm than good.
