She's got a good point

By the same idiocy, nobody got poor on their own, either...

Perhaps she could help explain why so many of these factories are moving overseas. Is it because foreign countries have a superior "Social Contract"? Just what gives?

She ignores that the business owners, stock holders and workers all pay taxes that help with the infrastructure.
Also it seems rather short-sighted to say that ONLY the business owner profits from the roads, schools and police. We all profit from infrastructure. Seems like a way to obscure the subject. |
she's not smart just a f%^king socialist.........

I don't see where anything she said should even be controversial. Businesses benefit from government expenditures and should pay their fair share in return. What's controversial about any of that? |

Progressives seem to not understand that any time a government raises taxes on a business/ corp, the business sees that as a cost of doing business and passes it on to the ultimate consumer. Sure you can show a line item as a tax on a business, and I guess that makes someone feel good, but the only ultimate payer of all taxes is the consumer. My State, ( Maryland) has been run by liberals/ progressive sine before time. The legislature has little concept of how taxes get passed on to consumers. Time after time the legislature has raised taxes or fees on various businesses and said, " They do not have to pass this on to the consumer". But it always gets passed through to the consumer, and the law makers are always mystified by it. MD used to be HQ for many large banks, The legislature raised fees on banks, and the banks moved to Delaware. Again the law makers were mystified by that action. All that taxes on businesses do is raise the cost of living for the citizen. |

If and when Warren starts advocating for the racket which she participates in and from which she receives her compensation to pay its fair share someone might believe she is anything other than a crass political opportunist, and elitist hypocrite,.
She works for Harvard a multi-billion dollar enterprise with vast holdings of cash and real property all accumulated tax free. They pay no taxes, but they do make a $1.9 million annual voluntary contribution to the city of Boston (estimated to be between about 5-10% of what its property taxes would otherwise be) http://www.insidehighered.com/views/2008/05/19/miller |
