Definitely will once I settle with the negotiations. I'll let you know.

Will you hurry up and get this thing road-ready so I can take it for a spin to see what a proper off-roader feels like???

Just waiting on the last few parts to come in and of course the hardtop pick up. I'll say that it certainly does feel a lot different (better) then good Ol'Shakey

I would have went with some Meguires All Purpose Cleaner.

Before and after shot of the passenger door panel which was about half as bad as the drivers door.

Update!

Ok the correct shifter column FINALLY came in the other day as did a new tailgate and a few final pieces. I tried to register it earlier in the week but found that I need a VIN inspection and go figure the inspectors are only there Tuesday-Friday. That would have turned into a complete waste of a Saturday morning but I ended up bumping into Swampyankee on the way home so all was well

The cleaning has continued to progress and i'm just about done with the last few obstacles being the rear wheel wells, drivers floor and of course the soft-top.

I've thrown in the towel on the electrics and will be taking it to a pro to sort out the left low beam and the wiper motor which works but which the multi-switch won't engage.

Negotiations on the hard top seem to have broken down as it has a crack and overall looks like it has seen better days. (The seller stopped responding to me after I started talking about the issues)

Looks like I'll be taking the softop to a guy on Wednesday for repair. On the bright side I finally managed to get a few pictures taken

The hard top looks like it's fiberglass. That is an easy fix, I should know since I grafted the back half of a delorean back together.

Nice.

We disconnected mine as they weren't wired particurally well. As soon as the other electrics are sorted i'm going to reconnect them.

Pretty much.

Another plus was that I finally got some decent driving time with it (As opposed to the occasional test around the block) This truck sure teachings you something about gearing.

At least the Volvo was already running to begin with

Truck is now registered and I even managed to get it up to 65 MPH today without a hint of overheating.

The electrics are still a bit wacky but it's going to a pro for sorting sometime next week. I'm also getting a new soft-top made (Trying to fix the existing soft-top would be too much of a hassleo it's better to start fresh) The upholsterer i'm using will also be redoing my seats for me. I'll make sure I get some before and after pictures.

It sure was a pleasure being able to get the truck out for a full day of driving!
