Why does it matter how far one travels when you own all the property down range and their is nothing down their to hit but trees?
This is the same guy who was shooting a 40mm over the lake a month ago. 40mm has a bit more power down range than a little 7.62.

Aw hell, he could own a couple of sections downrange, I suppose. He could assume there are no animals wandering in the woods or maybe just not give a damn if he wounds them. I mean, who gives a crap when you can make a minigun hum?

Doom and gloom Bot today, ever lighten up and have fun or is it all serious business?
Only you could take the fun out of shooting a mini gun.

It's all fun and games until the paramedics arrive.......
The guy in the video is a total moron, and would be thrown out on his butt if behaved that way at a gun range. Looking at the camera while firing the weapon has got to be one of the most retarded things someone can do. Private property or not, it's plain stupid. I also doubt he owns all the land downrange of the possible landing points of those "little" 7.62 bullets. Typical redneck duma$$.

While he isn't necessarily practicing proper discipline... Is there any involved while utilizing the cool stuff he is anyways?

He is fine, the range safety officers always circle whenever anyone is having any fun shooting, fun isn't allowed. Attitudes above are why I spend a lot of money to be a member of a private range, I pay not to be bothered. What's even better is owning land like FPS than you can really have fun and not be bothered.
The 40mm Machine Gun!!! - YouTube FLAMETHROWER MASSACRE - YouTube Oh and yes a .308 is a toy compared to the 40mm above. OMG what if it went into the woods and, and, and killed a bird, omg, omg, safety, safety, safety!

Don't get me wrong, I would load the belt by hand just to be near it. I grew up with Metal Gear Solid and seeing him fire it standing up brought back night terrors of Vulcan Raven tearing up the frozen cargo facility http://mimg.ugo.com/200805/19548/vulcan_raven.jpg But that was a M61A1 which would definitely do a little more damage than those puny .308s

A friend of mine has 300 acres in Texas. He also owns a bulldozer, a D-6, which he uses to maintain his roads.
He then decided to build a firing range since he had the bulldozer running and he was bored. I must admit.... It is rather relaxing to step out of the front door and walk 20 yards to your own firing range. If the weather is nice it beats watching TV. |

That's how a firing range should be built. Hell, I don't care if you've got a Buck knife, musket, a parrot rifle or an M-60: Safety first.
