I see that as a reason why they might win. It's about time Cashman got over on Epstein for a change. I thought you were going to talk about Russell Martin's comment that he hates the Sox and wants to beat them so that they don't make the playoffs. I wish he hadn't said that. Too much talent on the Sox for anyone to be talking smack.

I will not bet against the Sox, though I admit to gloating on the rare occasions when they lose.

I say the Phillies will win the World Series. They've got too much pitching for anyone else to match.

yes, i didn't know anyone else noticed. cashman picked up chavez, andrew jones, colon and freddy garcia for bupkis. good scouting, maybe, and low cost gambles that have already paid off. cashman is building a bench to rival bob watson's in the late 90's.

The O's are finishing strong. They are giving the Tigers a hard time right now.

Its not been a good 20 years, or so for O's fans.
At least this year we had April and, now, September.
The 4 months in between were awful

Ah yes, the Phils who have lost 6 in a row playing like little leaguers. You got to score some runs to win and they are averaging 2.5 or so in the last couple of weeks. If the opponents score two or three runs, it's a tossup whether they win. Philly is NOT the same team in was 4 weeks ago in hitting or in the bullpen.

Thank heaven Atl won last night & is now 3 up on St. Louis for the WC. Philly does NOT want to see St. Louis again this year. Give me the Braves and day and twice on Sunday.


All that said, Go Phils!!!
