Looking for the best 3D TV

I have narrowed it down to the 55" Sony or the 55" Samsung 3D 240 LED. Depending on what salesmen i talk to, i get different opinions.

Are you sure you want to go 3D? The technology is in its infancy right now. Sony already gas a tv out that does not require glasses at all. The active glasses are expensive to replace. Not a lot of co tent out.

If you are dead set on it Id go for the Samsung. I think it has a slightly better picture.

For the record, Sony has "bet the farm" on 3D through its studios, digital cameras and Bravia line of flat screens. Remember too, while they were the king of the hill in the Trinitron and Walkman markets, they also bet the farm on Betamax, MiniDisc and being anti-MP3.
