I think the tops doing most of the work.

It's a fun video but I wouldn't be surprised it you or I could do it in a little bit.

Gyroscopes you know. Pretty amazing devices.

You know what's really funny about that?

The other dude just strolling along through the background like he sees some guy doing fancy-assed tricks with a giant top on a string every day of the week.

Isn't it centrifical force? I expect you'd have to practice quite a bit to be able to launch and spin it, let alone play with it up off the ground.....he obviously has more free time on his hands than you or I.

The physics of gyros is tricky.

Conservation of rotational momentum, cross products, etc.

The result is a spinning body has remarkable stability.
