How Many of You Feel this Way?

The following is a quote from a fellow forum member. This was in a heated argument thread of which the subject was gays in the military:

"Are you thick headed or what? Theft and rape are violation of LAW, not a violation of a rule or an oath. Homosexual ativity between consenting adults is no longer a violation of LAW. And that last sentenence was offensive and uncalled for but we're used to that from you. My hope i that one day you meet an untimely end, like David E. Davis Jr. envisioned for Jean Jennings. Oh happy day!!"

As many on this forum I have strong opinions. Unlike many on this forum, I am NOT Politically Correct and tend to state in no uncertain terms how I feel on most subjects.

When I discredit the behavior of others, I can PROMISE you that I do not HATE them. I would NEVER wish anyone to have an untimely death as it is implied by the word end. I wish the very best for EVERYONE regardless of whether I agree with their opinions or behavior.

Wishing someone an untimely death COULD easily be seen as a death threat by some people. Is this what we want on this forum? Wishing that people will die?

Now to the question in the title, are there others of you who wish me an early death?

My Best Wishes to all
Larry

Get over it Larry. A wish is not a threat, and never has been. You are advanced in age so the end will come and there's nothing you can do. And you stil FAIL TO ADDRESS MY FIRST POINT!

There was a time when such language would quickly earn the transgressor an infraction for violation of the forum rules.

Unfortunately, such days are gone, and the cowardly moderation results in a simple deletion of the thread.

Now, good people such as yourself are left in a quandary............and feel the need to put up another thread to put the matter to rest.

The matter should have been dealt with in a forthright manner leaving no doubt about the lack of propriety of the statement.

Betting that this thread also gets deleted........................

The irony is that David E. Davis passed away recently and Jean Jennings is still going strong.

Larry,

You may want to enhance this thread with a poll:

Who wants Larry to:

1. Die prematurely;

2. Become an Open Discussion moderator;

3. Help you fix that damn cranky IP on your 300TD

Yes his sudden death was unfortunate.

Nobody reported the post to me and I just now came across it. It has been dealt with.

I'm closing this thread to stop this destructive back and forth.

Please use the report button on things like this to make us aware of a problem. Otherwise often times we won't come across it.
