I think this is a good sign.
 

If something virtuous were replacing religion in this country, then it MIGHT be good for the country. The problem is that only decadence is replacing religion. The country is going down the tube politically, socially and morally.

Why, back when we were all white Christians and the moms stayed home and the kids got good grades and everybody had big leave it to beaver station wagons and there were no homos and all the coloreds and the messicans stayed in their place where we didn't have to look at them all the time and nobody even knew what a mohammedan was and we all went to church on sunday and came home and had fried chicken and lemon pie, that's when. You must not be old enough to remember.

The decay and loss of identity for Western culture and this nation in the past 50+ years is transparent.

If one does wish to see it that is up to them.

hey. western culture's kind of been on the skids for a while. the question is what will replace it.

That goes without saying I expect.

The only path away from mysticism, religion etc is education and on that front I don't seem much hope.

So according to the article, Hattiesburg, MS has an atheist group, and they haven't been burned at the stake or run out of town. That is progress.
