Any Kroil fans here?
 

This stuff is amazing. I had two very rusty bolts securing a mower blade that I knew would give me trouble. I put some Kroil on it and let it sit overnight.

The next day, the bolts came off like they were new. I was even able to reuse them.

I use PB Blaster too but that stuff just smells really bad. Liquid Wrench is pretty good too (not smelly).

Best stuff out there for what it is sold to do:).

PB blaster is for beginners and rookies. Kroil is almost as good as a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone but stays longer in solution and you don't have to mix it yourself. I have a can at home and on the boat. Kroil is great.

I find it kind of a hoot that a company has an AOL email address rather than a domain of their own...

Kroil? I used to rock out the 'em in the 80's.

I cant afford it, I make my own stuff 50/50 acetone and ATF

Acetone and ATF works the best by far.

The down side is I hate the smell of acetone.

It's all I use for bore cleaning.

there's a 2 for 1 sale going on right now. i got the flier this weekend.

The problem is that the acetone seems to evaporate quickly.

Like Kroil but getting it is a PITA. I've also used this stuff for years: Rust Buster

Works really well.

Where do you buy Kroil at?

They sell it in a spray can and it is called AeroKroil. It is indeed amazing stuff. It typically comes from an Industrial supply house as opposed to the typical retail outlets. If you like the stuff in the can, you'll REALLY like the stuff in a spray can.
