Just wanted to say congrats to the Slovak parliament for rejecting the Euro bailout fund -- hope they can stand pat even with international pressure. Let the Greeks go begging on their knees to the Turks before they get one cent from the EU to support their irresponsibility.

Slovakia actually made huge financial sacrifices to be able to join the EU, while the Greeks spent and borrowed like drunken lute players at the Dionysian feast. Let them beg the Turks for help. Better yet, build an electric fence around the place and kick them out of the EU.

This is very arrogant assumption of your part. Slovakia is a country after all. The fact that you don't care it doesn't mean anything. By standing tall against all of the other EU countries they showing some character....same as you, but you are on the opposite side of the scale.

that area of the world is full of race and ethnic issues, I would be more prone to believe this is an FU to the EU and consequently the Greeks. along the same lines as the statement of "let them ask the Turks". joining a group for your own benefit, then not following the group becuase of personal reasons undermines society as a whole and negates the whole benefilt of the group. to me they are showing lack of charactor.

There's a reason why things like that must be VOTED on, not rubberstamped. It's not a question of "going along" or not, it's a question of them casting their vote, and their vote so far is "NO!"

Should you vote "not guilty" on a jury even if you think the accused is guilty as hell, just because the other 11 jurors want to go home in time for dinner?
