Liberal bias media....really?

Study finds harsh media coverage for Obama - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

I wonder how hard the Communist Broadcasting System(CBS) had to look to come up with this one. If you research enough you will find someone who claims that the Sun rises in the West.

^^ Was gonna say, this sounds like a bunch of baloney~
You've got the Communist Broadcasting System--Faux News--Al-CIAda...
The moral fiber in America is crumbling faster than a Speeding Locomotive~~

Pew Research did that study; a fairly non-partisan outfit I'd say. But, Pew Research did have it's genesis in the Times-Mirror Center so they're bound to be biased if you're viewing things from the wrong wing.

Of course, you are all entitled to your own opinions, no matter how uninformed they may be.

Chil,

I sure do wish that I didn't have to agree with you on this one. It is indeed going to he!! in a hand basket! The sad thing is the number of people who think that there is nothing wrong with immorality.

It's probably a good indicator of just how bad things have gotten. Eight years of an arrogant, clueless stooge followed by 4 years of an arrogant, clueless stooge and here we are. It makes one long for the days of arrogance alone.

"Liberal media" is probably the most successful and nonsensical slogan of all time. I thought it was funny how the NY Times, Washington Post, and the networks spent a good part of the 90s attacking Clinton and Gore and then the first 5 or 6 years of the 2000s completely in bed with Bush/Cheney, and still got blasted for being "liberal."

The media's bias is in favor of money/ratings/circulation, not in favor of liberal or conservative causes.

My memory is a little different from yours.
You vaunted media showed no inclination to attack Clinton for years, until Matt Drudge forced the issue on them. At that time they had to do their job, or give up all pretense of journalism. They discussed how adept Clinton was at sidestepping questions, but refused to actually call him on it with follow-up questions at press conferences etc.

The media is indeed biased and the bias is toward profitabilty. Nothing to to with liberal/conservative. They are not that stupid.

Liberal/Conservative labels are used to classify stupid people and to turn them against each other, divide and conquer. Red sheep and blue sheep. As long as they can pigeon hole you they can treat you like livestock and don't have to deal with any real issues. As long as you let them make the rules for the game you always lose.

Twitch Kitty is never in doubt!

That sounds about right. They were probably favorable to Bill Clinton at the beginning, but that was a long time ago, so it's hard to remember. Once the "scandals" started, the media jumped in with both feet. The Washington Post (our local daily) printed every rumor about Bill Clinton as if it were gospel. Hillary Clinton never got a fair shake back then. Al Gore also got bad press whether he deserved it or not. None of it had anything to do with left or right bias, it was all showbiz and conventional wisdom.

I put "scandals" in quotes because for all the gallons and gallons of ink wasted on anti-Clinton rumors, his cheating on his wife and lying about it (including to a grand jury) were the only things that ever stuck. Compared to the Bush administration, the Clinton administration was a bunch of boy scouts.

Good description, IMHO.

Throw in Twitch Kitty's "news for ratings/profit, and the picture gets fuller, and more complete.

You forgot about the arrogant, clueless stooge that preceded the first one you mentioned.

You also forgot about the more than 500 arrogant, clueless stooges in the congress for the last who knows how many years.
