Banks killing my dreams...

I dream of making a big purchase with cash. Specifically a point zero Halliburton briefcase full of $100's. But modern banking laws make such things just about impossible.

Why does the man have to rain on my dream, is taking $200,000 in cash so wrong in the 21st century.

I was born to late, can't do anything with flair anymore!

That's how Koreans come to the states when they are shooting a commercial here. Everybody gets paid in cash, no joke.

I was once in a vault in Long Beach where a bunch of office supplies were being stored. I remarked about how expensive office supplies must be out there.

I was told the building once belonged to an oil trader, and up until WW 2 any tanker Captain that bought in oil from the Far East demanded payment in gold. You were not allowed to own gold then, but if you needed it for business transactions you could get it.

One reason a lot of people don't want to take serious cash these days is because it could be fake. There is also the fact that the buyer knows you have serious money in your house so it could be robbed away from you just hours after you had received it.

There is, and has been for many years, a law about reporting transactions involving more than $10,000 cash to.... Well, I don't really know since I have never done it.

Gold bars are also good but so hard to deal in these days.

Mr. 600 credit score can lease an S550, but if you try to buy one with a gold bar you are a criminal!

Its 2011, digital transaction, no need to carry cash....its a lot hard to get mugged for a login to an account in your head than to have a case of cash forcefully taken away.

When I bought my motorcycle this summer I had to carry 26 one hundred dollar bills to the site of the transaction. It made me a little nervous.

Or marry this girl: "Tamara Ecclestone is rolling in the dough, literally.

The heiress daughter of Formula 1 chief Bernie Ecclestone, was living out the penchant that every broke person hopes to indulge in if they ever come contact with a million dollars; roll around in it butt nekkid!"

Article

And as a bonus she must be really into fast cars.

same in Australia. I regularly work with 10 or 20 gorillas in cash. When the bank asks what I am doing with it, I always say settling a drug debt. They dont like writing that on the tax office form.
I once paid cash for a house. At settlement, the guys broker thought I would have a bank check, should have seen the look when I pulled out a couple of large rolls of 100's (largest note in Australia). Took him for ever to count it.
As soon as you do a cash transaction the paper trail ends.

Back when I sold new cars for a while in the 90's I had a customer with a shoe box full of cash. There wasn't enough cash in the shoe box when he actually got around to counting it, so he made a phone call and had another shoe box delivered.
