Yes. Just get on the correct side of a border and it's all good.

Meh to many people in the world, abortion also seems to reduce crime.

As far as the bible goes, if someone is silly enough to believe it, fair enough. Why should anyone else be ruled by it if they don't believe it? Just because YOU got suckered into it don't mean I have to come along for the ride.

I have never read the Citzens United case, so I don't really know what the true issue was, but it has been commonplace in the law to define "person" to include corporations and other entities. The Virginia Code, for example, defines the term as follows:
Quote:
§ 1-230. Person. "Person" includes any individual, corporation, partnership, association, cooperative, limited liability company, trust, joint venture, government, political subdivision, or any other legal or commercial entity and any successor, representative, agent, agency, or instrumentality thereof.
I don't know when they started using that definition. It's been there as long as I can remember. It is quite a leap, though, to go from that sort of legal definition to the conclusion that corporations have First Amendment rights.

I'd love for someone to do a "compare and contrast" between pre-SCOTUS decision and post-SCOTUS decision as to how they came up with the "Corporations are people" slogan.

A version of this issue comes up every four years in time for elections.

Can you feel the tug on your nose ring or are you totally numb?
