Fertilized Embryo Would Be Legally "Human"

If Proposition 26 passes, abortion foes hope it will build momentum for a broader national assault on Roe vs. Wade. Supporters say similar propositions will be featured on ballots in Florida, South Dakota and Ohio in 2012.

Both sides in the debate agree that the measure would outlaw abortion, even in the cases of rape and incest. But there is disagreement about what other, potentially wide-ranging effects it may have.

That could be an issue for a lot of "frozen" humans in fertility clinics in Mississippi.

They've tried at least twice in Colorado. Soundly defeated both times.

Amending the Constitution over a label is silly. I wish these "conservatives" would keep their hands off of the Constitution.

I'm surprised none of these nut jobs don't take issue with a corporation's personhood.

What is the origin of that term? Is it limited to corporations or are other things thus animated?

A great amendment. Of course if you enjoy murdering unborn human beings, then it's easy to see why you would not like it.

So are you going to volunteer to murder all these unborn human beings. From your post it sounds as if you would enjoy it immensely.

Unfortunately, this amendment has the potential to reduce medical services to women, not just termination of pregnancy services. Being charged with homicide, either murder or manslaughter can have quite the chilling effect, along with the potential for civil liability.

What happened to your commitment to the Bible? I thought your first principle was to consult the law of God? Biblical law is pretty clear that a fetus in utero is not the equal of a born human.

Then in all fairness, lets make sure it is a life we are terminating. Use the same tests that the ER would use to determine death. If it is NOT alive, proceed

If alive, remove fetus and put it into someone who is willing. After all, the host should have the right to say who stays and who goes. I cannot expect you to host someone because I like them if you are unwilling. You want, you got.
