Porsche Continues to Spice Things Up

Porsche Greenlights Production of . . . the Cajun

2013 Model Based on Audi . . . Diesel Option?

While precise details on the Cajun itself are yet to be revealed, we expect it will lean heavily on Audi and Volkswagen shared parts, including a 3.0-liter diesel TDI engine good for something like 310 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. A gasoline version is also a certainty, with early indications that a turbocharged four-cylinder engine could get the nod.

If its not a 911 it doesn't count.

Also everyone knows air cooled 911's are the best.

Yeah, sellouts. Ferrari's lost it, too. I think the best stuff's already been made.

I wouldn't say no to a Panamera turbo.

Not bad either: haven't seen one in the wild yet.

Just a matter of time in LA.

It would be a rare sight in Minneapolis. However exotics do exist here, mainly tucked away in people's garages.

Brand dilution. Profit now, lose out later. I think the Boxster and Cayman are ok. I'm ambivalent about the Panamera. The Cayenne and this new thing they're coming out with are abominations.

A Panamera coupe would be nice, something similar to a 928.

Not a bad idea really. Make a vehicle for the guy wanting a Porsche, which his wife won't let him have because of the kids.

Maybe one day such a buyer will let his balls come down again and buy a 911, and the kids can ride in the back, and the GF who is 20 will replace the wife.

I thought the 911 back seat was for kids. You sure can't get a normal sized adult back there. OTOH, the trunk on the classic 911 is surprisingly spacious. It seems to have gotten smaller with every redesign.
