Are the R's and the D's at "war"?
more diversionary tactics
I found this comment interesting "a significant intrusion on Executive Branch interests". I thought they worked for us? I guess not. More R and D political BS.

And I thought the Arabs were bad when it comes to argueing/cant agree on anything to the point where one gets a headache...........
Reminds me of my current work situation. There are Indians-Bangladeshi's-Myanamar-Mainland Chinese-Malaysians who perform the tasks under my directive. I give an order...sip my coffee...wait about 20 minutes while they argue all the details, finally arriving at a conclusion, and then perform the task. 'One duck, One chicken'..broken English-hand gestures..and somehow..amazeingly..it all gets done.

Of course they are playing politics, That is the fundamental principle under which they constitutionally operate. Everything any elected official does, in his official capacity, is by definition "politics." It couldn't possibly be otherwise.

I have been keeping up with this quite a bit, and it appears that Issa is under a lot of pressure to find some tie to Obama but so far is coming up empty handed. What he has turned up, though, is taking this thing into an area Issa never saw coming and one he appears to be reluctant to deal with.
There appears to have been some significant criminal activity involved in this loan thing and it all points to several people who were either executives of the company or professional decision makers in the Bush administration. One of those involved is being identified as 'a significant fund raiser for Obama' which really means they appeared to be playing both sides of the fence just in case the whole thing fell apart. With former executives of the company taking the Fifth when asked about almost anything, and with documentation that the 'Obama fund raiser' had signed a contract to not do a number of thing it now appears he went ahead and did anyway this is all beginning to look less like a bad business deal and more like a criminal act. Issa wants more documents because the ones he has been given show a high likely hood of criminal behavior on the parts of many people but they do not provide any evidence that Obama or Biden knew anything about it. As far as Issa is concerned if he can't get Obama then all of this is for nothing, and worst than that the entire enterprise is beginning to get rather close to some very high up Republicans. Issa is in a tough spot. Before the elections he promised non-stop investigations of Democrats. So far he has not gotten very far on even one because all the others he has looked at have turned out to be right wing fantasies. Issa is the first to admit that all he really wants to do is tie down the President with a lot of needless paperwork, but if he can't get that then he can at least cry about how the White House is not responding. Issa's worst nightmare is if the White House does respond and there is no there there. Issa promised Obama's head on a plate. If he cannot deliver his days in office may be over. Stay tuned! |

I don't think you have evidence to support that view.

True, we don't know. And we probably wont ever know. What undoubtedly will be revealed is our own prejudices concerning whichever side we support.

You don't know that, either.

True. I only know about myself from which, I infer others. But maybe other folks aren't as unprincipled and slimy. Perhaps they know truth and fidelity and honor when they see it in politicians. I confess my weakness in that regard and should not project that weakness onto others.

Earlier I posted a long thought on this subject. Then I was talking to a neighbor of mine who is a full blood Choctaw about Issa's investigation.
And he said.... The truth does not take many words: A man's greatest enemy is his own ignorance, and before he sets out to seek vengeance he must first dig two graves. |
