Ron Paul Wins Another Straw Poll

But Still No Media Love

In Illinois Saturday, Paul won 52 percent of the vote – more than neck-and-neck front-runners Mitt Romney and Herman Cain.

Why does it seem like there is a media black-out on Ron Paul?!

Because his own party is working against him.

That's got to be comforting... knowing your pals are undermining you...

About the biggest exposure that Ron Paul got in the media this weekend was the story that he has no intention of running as a third party if he doesn't get the nomination.

I think the DNC is afraid of him as well. I remember A LOT of people in 2008 saying they could vote for either Paul or Obama. I even saw a car once with a Ron Paul bumper sticker on one side and an Obama sticker on the other.

Got a giggle from my original post that Mitt and Herman were once even in the polls.

I wondered what kind of odd sexual reference you were making at first, but then read the linked article on Ron Paul, and saw mention of Gary Johnson.

I also read the 5 question interview with Johnson. So far, I like what I'm seeing.

I'll definitely be doing some more research on this gent and his history and positions.

I definitely appreciate the fact that this gent gets one little-mentioned aspect of the Iraq war - that by taking out Hussein, we removed Iran's main antagonist and roadblock in the region, and left them free to cause other mischief - ie, the cure may have ended up causing more problems than the disease.
