So is this INTENTIONALLY meant to compete with the honoring of our fallen Veterans that occurs every November 11th. or merely conicidental?

Maybe it's just me, but I managed to struggle through a single viewing of Spinal Tap and have thankfully forgotten virtually all of it.

People can try to usurp the meaning of the day in whatever manner they want, and I think far too many will simply see it as the beginning of a 3-day weekend.

Me, I'm heading back to the theater tomorrow night for the second weekend of performances for the show I'm in. Before that, though, I'll go by one of the military cemeteries in the area and say a prayer or two as a small tribute to those who have sacrificed of themselves so that I can live in a free country -- and am free to go act on a stage somewhere. And of course, I'll ponder and thank those whose sacrifices didn't include their dying breath, but have still left parts (physical or emotional) of themselves all over this country and this world.

IMHO, Memorial Day (and Veterans Day) should be left alone.

Nigel can go suck wind.
