Freaky! "Solid" car is not so solid...

So the other day I was driving. And I still have this darn leak from somewhere above the a pillar. (another thread, so lets not get into that here! lol). Anyway, there was a small drip. So I removed it with my finger. It was where the a pillar cover and dash meet. When I did so, I noticed slight motion between the two parts as the car road over bumps and deviations in the road. Then I tried between the door frame and roof. Same thing.

I am sure this is normal. And I am sure most cars flex a bit here and there. Its just an odd sensation in something that seems so solid.

On a Mark VIII one can tell if the x-brace weld snapped (behind the read seat back) because the car handling is changed a bit.

Guess you can give it a try for giggles.

Perhaps seeing how it's assembled will help answer your question.

Sounds like it is time to replace your windshield gasket. They tend to dry out over time.

Windshield gasket. They leak in the top of the gasket when water is blown up the windshield at highway speeds. BTDT on a 123.
