SOMEONE NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL!

Air Force dumped ashes of more troops’ remains in Va. landfill than acknowledged - The Washington Post

The Air Force dumped the incinerated partial remains of at least 274 American troops in a Virginia landfill, far more than the military had acknowledged, before halting the secretive practice three years ago, records show.
The landfill dumping was concealed from families who had authorized the military to dispose of the remains in a dignified and respectful manner, Air Force officials said. There are no plans, they said, to alert those families now.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS

Even if worse came to worst, hold a Veterans' Day service each year and dispose of the ashes or bury them together, but dumping them in a landfill?

I wouldn't even do that to a serial killer, I'd just cremate him and dump the ashes to the winds.

Someone needs to go to jail.

We can start with GW Bush and his administration. They caused most of the deaths.

I want to start with the Air Force people who were responsible for this.

If tomorrow rains and he doesn't like it, Bush will be to blame in some way.

Seriously, Jail would be too good for the people responsible. Having them spend the rest of their lives digging up the landfill looking for any remains would be fitting punishment.

I think what pisses me off more is that this will not hit the mainstream news outlets. A couple will pick it up then nothing. Yet everyone seemed to pick up the story about the wife jokingly selling her husband on CL.

Do YOU ever quit trying to bring Bush in to everything distasteful? This is a thread about a bunch of guys that served their country and had their bits tossed around like yesterday's trash. Yet you insist on dragging your "I hate Bush" politics into it. So when do YOU quit?

We're discussing it on a Mercedes web forum.

BTW, it made the morning newscast in Honolulu.

I'll eat my words when this hits all the major new outlets throughout the weekend. If by this coming monday the story is dead, as I think it will, then I will be right. I hope I am wrong though, Hitler treated Jews better.

Bush sent these troops on a mission based on lies and misinformation and hubris. Had Bush acted in an honest and presidential manner our troops would have never been in harms way in Iraq or Af'stan. Wasn't Bush one those trying to characterize those disagreeing with him as "Not supportive of our troops"? and this is what happened on his watch.
I won't quit hating Bush because the damage he has done to our country and troops will go on way past my lifetime.
When are you gonna realize that Bush is responsible for much of our country's problems?

Better put on your bib. It's on just about every news website and has been since this morning. Except for the "Daily Caller".

Had the other congress people also done their homework, who knows what might have happened. There is plenty of blame to go around but feel free to start your own "I hate Bush" thread. It is a broken record already from you. Your hatred of Bush seems to cloud that simple fact that this thread is about something else.

As are many others so if you are going to blame someone else, why not start another thread and list everyone involved in the process and not just your favorite whipping boy.
