My first car was........

A bottle green 1976 MK3 Ford Cortina 1.6L, with a 2.0L engine.

It advertized as a 2000E. Big bloke with lots of tattoos sold it to me in the middle of a council estate in Walthamstow when I was 17.

I wasn't keen on buying it, but wasn't keen on my chances of walking out of that estate with 250 quid in my pocket so I drove it home.

1970 MG Midget, had been an awful sunflower yellow color, was mostly primer when I got it, had a friend of a friend shoot it a 1972-73 Ford bright red...silver painted wire wheels, black top and interior...miserable little car, never ran worth a hoot.

I had a lesbian co-worker that bought one of those new. Evidently lesbians really liked those cars.

First car I "owned", 1963 Corvair Monza, bought it with paper route money. Never did get it licensed but drove it around late at night and early in the morning delivering papers.

First car I really owned was a 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint convertible. Got it from my dad who worked at a foundry. The car LOOKED good but the fumes/acid rain from the foundry ate the metal away. You could poke your fingers through spots on the car! What a death trap but a 16 year old, in a V-8 convertible? Man, oh man, I was the "cock of the walk" for about 6 months until the body separated from the the front wheels going over a railroad track.
