So the short version is: Republicans are generally bad; Democrats are generally worse. Choose the lesser of two evils.

Or you could do like I do sometimes and vote Libertarian.
Raise taxes: G-d forbid that they want a balanced budget, as opposed to neocon scum who want to spend, spend, spend while borrowing and printing.
Punish success: um, not really.
"Environmental" reasons: I agree with them. A good economy doesn't do anyone any good if they're dying from poisoned air and water
2nd Amendment freedoms: most don't want to ban guns, just make them slightly harder to get than candy.
Prevent learning...: on what planet? If anything, Dems are for more education funding than Reps.
Freedom of expression: yeah, some liberals want to restrict political contributions. Bribery does NOT fall under freedom of expression
Consumer choice: they want an informed consumer, and they also want to tax or ban products that can harm others. Big whoop-de-doo.
Soft on crime: the US is too f**king hard on crime. Imprisoning almost 1% of our population costs a lot, and the death penalty is an embarrassment to the civilized world. Next?

Ron Paul is either going to win Iowa or place near the top. He's going to do very well in NH (I'm a Granite State resident myself and he has considerate momentum here). I see his biggest challenges as SC and FL... SC favors religious conservative candidates and FL is basically an insane electorate that anyone of noone might appeal to... If he makes it past FL with at least one win and no less than third anywhere I think he's a bona fide front runner and is going to be a real threat to Gingrich and what's-his-name...

Romney might be able to beat Obama. I doubt Gingrich can. Ron Paul definitely can.

There is no way Ron Paul can defeat Obama.

BREAKING: Even More Racially Charged Writings by Ron Paul Uncovered! | Ron Paul 2012 | Peace . Gold . Liberty

Quote:
"Libertarianism is the enemy of all racism, because racism is a collectivist idea that you put people in categories. You say, well blacks belong here, and whites here, and women here and we don't see people in forms..or gays. You don't have rights because your gays, or women or minorities, you have rights because you’re an individual. So we see people strictly as individuals. We get these individuals in a natural way. So it's exactly opposite of all collectivism and it's absolutely anti-racism because we don't see it in those terms. "
-Ron Paul on Bill Moyers Journal, January 4, 2008, 14 minutes, 50 seconds.
What a nazi. And look, he has been for decades!

Quote:
“After 200 years, the constitutional protection of the right of the individual to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is virtually gone. Today’s current terminology describing rights reflects this sad change. It is commonplace for politicians and those desiring special privileges to refer to: black rights, Hispanic rights, handicap rights, employee rights, student rights, minority rights, women’s rights, gay rights, children’s rights, student rights, Asian-American rights, Jewish rights, AIDS victims’ rights, poverty rights, homeless rights, etc. Unless all the terms are dropped & we recognize that only an individual has rights, the solution to the mess in which we find ourselves will not be found. The longer we lack of definition of rights, the worse the economic and social problems will be.”
-Ron Paul, “Freedom Under Siege”, by Ron Paul, p. 14-15 Dec 31, 1987

Thanks for the link. All I can find is unsupported, opinionated, and mostly (as you state correctly) retarded posts presenting the worst kind of smear propaganda available.

In this time and age, 'racist', is one of the most undefined, unsupported, broadbrush-deragatory assault terms, mostly used by opposing factions, who based on their commentary, would qualify for the term themselves.

On the other hand, we are laughing about racist jokes ... how many times daily? Oh, it's ok, it's just a joke .... standup comedian national TV broadcast, etc.

I suggest, before calling anybody a 'racist', do a quick double check:
You may find the closest one to you, by taking a brief look in a mirror.

Besides, your link produces 655 thousand results in 0,06 seconds.
You type in ‘Obama lying’, it shows 85 ½ million results in 0,09 seconds.

If I were to make my choice on the bases of “Google Search Results”, which one would I pick?

Ron Paul doesn’t qualify for ‘Racist Status’, by any stretch of imagination.
It’s those who can’t stomach, don’t comprehend or disagree with the reality of his message and proposals, who would love to smear him by any possible means.

Now that the mainstream media can no longer ignore his campaign for the candidacy, let's turn on him with the "racist" accusation. Real smart move, if one is dumb enough to buy into it.

Given Paul's stance on the war on drugs, which hurts minority communities much more than others, I don't think somebody jumping up and down yelling "racist" is gonna cost even 1 informed vote from minorities.

I also don't get why every republican with an opinion thinks Paul can't beat Obamma. Obamma didn't get into office because we all love the guy and can't wait to vote for him again. It was a lesser of two evils that got him there and a lot of people that voted for him the first time would now vote for Paul in the hope of seeing true change in how this country is governed.

Even if Ron Paul was a combination of the optimism of John Kennedy, the determined pragmatism of Ronald Regan, and the dynamic personality of Teddy Roosevelt, in spite of being spry, he is too old and therefore unelectable. End of story.
