Where's the rust on a '83 300?
 

I just posted this in the diesel section when I realized rust is not actually caused by the fuel/engine.
So.. I'm looking at a '83 300TD next week, it's supposedly got no rust. It comes from L.Island, ny, so I'm wondering where the rust is hidding. Other then bubbles what should I look for.? The car has the original paint so we're talking structural/undercarriage rust I guess.

Aside from the usual 'bubbles' in the paint,
look under interior carpets or mats and, underneath the car, check for cracks, blisters or bulges in the thick rubber undercoat under the rockers and floors.
