The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Son and I went to see it yesterday. Two hours and 40 minutes is at least an hour and 40 minutes more than I figured I could sit still but I didn't notice the length at all. I liked it so much I may go back with the wife to see it again. Anyone seen it?

Great movie, but read the books. There's a Svenska version of the movie as well.

Very good movie! Not for everyone. I hope your wife can handle the rape scene. I enjoyed the payback.
I saw the Swedish version a while back. And it was good also, but the US version explained the story better. Looks like the ending sets up the next movie of the trilogy.

I generally read the book before seeing the film but this one was off my radar. Better order the three.

We saw the Swedish (?) versions and really enjoyed them. The third one was a little weaker than the first two. Haven't seen the US version yet.

I like the original 3 movies much better. I am not sure that Holywood will make them all. But as some of the guys mentioned, read the books, they are great.

I rented that last week. I guess I saw the Swedish version. Wouldn't have rented it if I had noticed in was subtitled, but still thought it was good. Now I want to ready Larson's books. I'd also like to see the American version.

I had a hard time hearing and understanding what was being said but I figured it out as the story unfolded....... Great cinematography.
Not a movie whatsoever for kids, or a first date, my wife or the squeamish.
Very brutal rape and torture scenes......
But I Liked it!
I am going to see the Svenska version next week; with captioning I can hear what they are saying.

I've read all the books and they were great.

I saw the Swedish movie of the first novel, which I didn't think was very good....didn't follow the book hardly at all.

I really enjoyed the American version of the movie. Better movie in every way, and it followed the novel pretty closely.
