cl has a black page up to contact your congressman and google blacked out their name.i thought i heard BO was against it anyway?

wikipedia is also blacked out today. contact your representative and express your views. The President has spoken against it too.

I appreciate the sentiment behind the law, but not the law as proposed.

It's akin to hunting mosquitos with lasers and killing them with firebombs.

But that makes sense given that Hollywood proposed it!

Here we go ,people started hearing the truth about what kind of govt really runs this country ,best thing they could come up with is to censor the messenger before all hell breaks lose.I wonder how much Hollywood money seeded this Bill .

LOTS of money. Our former senator (and the other half of the Kennedy-Dodd "sandwich"), Chris Dodd, now heads the Motion Picture Association of America and a big supporter of SOPA.

Inside the truth of SOPA and similiar legislation is an underlying plot ,imagine for instance if you were trying to sell your car ,you would have to mention the make, right,well for using that manufacturers name you would then owe a small fee for the right to use that brand,this is how crazy this could become when and if these laws are past.Lawyers lie in the backdrop just waiting for the oppurtunity to set trials upon these new laws and their lies the rub,a perfect way for lawyers to help lawyers on down the line ,from the law makers,to the court rooms that produces the trial for verdict .I grade our law system much like the stock market of today with its its brokerage houses ,arbitrage oppurtunities abound.Time has a way of bringing things to light, I trust it so.
