Sciatic Nerve Pain - Inversion Table

I realize that in the end medical counseling will be required....

Better half has had issues on and off with sciatic nerve pain.

Research reveals that many have been helped with the use on an Inversion Table.

Has use of such a device helped any of you who have had issues with sciatic nerve pain?

Thanks for your time.

Yes...I've been using one for a number of years. I've been able to avoid surgery since 1999 because of this and a Chiropractor and the occasional Accupunture treatments.

be sure and purchase one with safety features; last thing you want to do is fall and land on your head. a company called "hang-ups" makes a quality device......

I have one, a Teeter Hang Ups. I shopped them at length and found the Teeter versions to be the most stable and well built.
I use mine 2-4 times a week for about 5 minutes. I don't have sciatica but have nearly every thing else wrong as far as a bad back gets. Disk and nerve compression, torn disks, tingling feet etc. My neurologist recommended the back machine. It's been a godsend. My wife suffers sometimes from what I'd say is sciatica though she hasn't been diagnosed. She says the inversion table helps a lot. Makes sense as sciatica is a nerve compression issue also. The one I got is the lowest priced model, they cost the same everywhere so Amazon is probably your best bet for cheap or free delivery. Sometimes they show up on CL, but do some homework, there's a huge difference in the way they're built and designed.

well....the nice thing about an inversion table is you can control the amount of tilt. Some people don't do well hanging perfectly vertical; also there is the risk of getting a BRAIN ANEURYSM from all the blood rushing to your head. so....with a tilting inversion table it is easy to adjust to say 45 degrees of tilt so you receive the benefits without putting too much pressure on those microscopically tiny vessels in the brain......

I want to thank all of you for your replies. The inversion table sounds promising.

One of my coworkers has in my opinion been butchered via back surgery. I've lost track of how many times she's been under the knife. With each surgery - she seems to get worse - not better.

Chiropractic work has offered my wife some relief. Add in this table and she may be much better.

Again....regards.

If your current chiropractor isnt getting the job done go to another one. Unless she has bone issues a good chiro can get the job done. Sounds like hers is long term so it will take 8 to 12 adjustments to get things lined up again. 90 day tuneups sure do help too.

Bad link.

Unless she is now shooting chiropractors with paint guns. I can see the therapeutic value of that...
