I'd tell them I'm an American citizen in my borders and they can go blow themselves.

Time we stand up to this fascist nonsense.

Terrorism is a very small threat at this point, losing our freedom to a police state is a much larger one.

Ummm, this looks like a truck safety check program in cooperation with TSA, not stopping random cars for searches.

Yeah, I love the part about encouraging people to call the TSA if they see anything "suspicous" on the highway.

Great. Now I'll have some jackass trying to turn me in to TSA because I pissed him off passing a semi at 75 mph and holding him up when he was wanting to fly along at 90 mph.

They are asking Americans to snitch on each other.

How do you think the Gestapo and KGB worked? Hint they didn't have a lot of agents or man power, it was all civilians calling about there neighbors.

If I was one of those truck drivers I'd tell the TSA I'd call them right about when hell freezes over.

Nothing new, though agreed that it's disgusting. Ever see the "if you see something, say something" commercials?

Call them, and say that there are a bunch of clowns acting suspiciously in a weigh station -- they seem to be shaking down and harassing truckers

I see a truck inspection station, not people being stopped on the highway.
Did you post an erroneous link?

Reason #101 why he SHOULD get elected and hold the sons of whores responsible for the erosion of civil liberties in the last 10 years to account.

Traffic stops without probable cause have been going on a lot longer than 10 years. Maybe there's something sinister behind this TSA program, but Ron Paul sure as heck has not made that case.

Because he doesn't like the gestapo police recruiting truck drivers to spy on everyone?

Truck inspections are and have been a fact of life for truckers since trucks were invented. It's got nothing to do with civil liberties as trucks are commercial vehicles. Trucks are inspected for proper paper work, which might include how long the driver has been at the wheel without a 6 hour break, proper operation of lights and other safety devices.
I can't understand why this is cause to jump out ones butt.
