Can't believe they chopped it. Are W113 parts that expensive?

Well, I wonder if there are enough parts found to put it back together again? I wonder if the insurance would pay for that? I suppose if it could be reconstructed for less than the agreed value, providing it is an agreed value policy, which it most likely is, it would.

I have not yet gotten a look at "my" pagoda. My friend is in no hurry. I suspect he may be a bit conflicted about selling it.

Regardless of the value it is simply astounding that people would steal and chop such an old car. Removing body parts would not be simple as all the fenders are welded on.

Travolta hijacked a couple of nukes.

(as the rogue Vic Deakins

"Broken Arrow" is the term used to describe a nuclear device that has been lost. In this movie, two nuclear missiles are stolen by rogue US pilot Deakins, but hot on his trail is his co-pilot Hale and a Park Ranger, Terry.

~~~~~~
Pritchett: It's still my money.
Vic Deakins: And if we succeed, you and your friends will get a ton of it.
Pritchett: *If* we're successful?
Vic Deakins: Look, Mr. Pritchett, I will deliver the weapons to the destination. But I can't depend and I can't guarantee that those *******s in Washington won't do something stupid like... not pay.
Pritchett: What if they don't?
Vic Deakins: Well, if they don't, the southwest will be a quiet neighbourhood for, uh, about ten thousand years.
from the movie "Broken Arrow" (1996, John Woo, dir.)
I thought the clever line was:
don't know what's scarier, losing nuclear weapons, or that it happens so often there's actually a term for it.
Probably a whole lot easier to fence w/o getting busted. And I'm guessing those parts would fetch a good price.
Some of the 113 parts are pretty pricey but the relative scarcity of them makes it seem difficult to me to move the parts without being caught....unless the parts were sent out of the country.
Yeah! God was punishing him . . . Oh, wait a minute. He's a Scientologist. Maybe L Ron Hubbard was punishing him.
