Cool Awesome S600!

Cars for Sale: 2007 Mercedes-Benz S600 Sedan in New York, NY 10018: Sedan Details - 312601159 - AutoTrader.com

Looks like a very nice, but pretty standard S600 until you read the description and see Brabus has worked its magic. "Brabus S V12 S Biturbo twelve-cylinder engine"

Hattie wants...Hattie wants...Hattie will do very evil deeds to get.

Well no it is a lot better looking.

After looking at that S600 all the stock ones seem kind of...well plain.

Cool, but be prepared to spend thousands $$/yr when it starts closing in on 70k miles. Unless you could find an extended warranty.

Nah I'd buy and dump after 2-3 years, before 60k.

I learned my lesson with German cars.

NFW I'd want to own an older Brabus S600, besides the new S class is coming out soon.

x3. An MB V12TT is on my "bucket list" of cars. You can find some amazing deals on the W220 S600/65 and W215 CL600/65. And - nothing on those cars really scare me maintenance/repair wise...

I do have to say my W211 E55 is pretty solid. Yeah, its not a V12, but there are many nay-sayers that say it was built when MB quality was in the toilet. Everything still works, and the car is going strong @ 140k miles!

I have to wonder what this car will trade hands at if it sells and the owner is interested seriously in moving it.

215 CL600 and 220 S600 are falling in price and have been. A 06 S600 with low miles can be had for around $30,000 now a days. The CL600 I have seen many 05's going for under $30,000 as well. The 220/215 65 AMG's are in the $40k. Buy used!!! I dont know why people buy brand new anymore. It is just not worth it.

Afterwarket warranty's are available however some companies may not bother with the V12 due to the complexity of them and chances of going wrong over the V8 models. Also to add this one has tons of Brabus work on it so they may not want to touch it due to being aftermarket. Brabus offers warranty but it could be out? Warranty Direct for about $4500 has them many I have herd from say good about it but that was a while ago.

It's because of the "New Car Smell".

Second best smell there is.

Call ANY MB mechanic and have him price you some basic replacement parts, and then have him price you on common failures. You're head will spin and you'll never consider a V12 MB again.
