A customer of mine came into the shop today.

He has a Hot Rod Shop in the next town, he told me about his latest project. He takes 1951 Nash Station Wagons and puts them on older GMC Jimmy drive trains. He showed me some pics of his work. He sold one for almost $30,000 and had orders for more. I wish I had one.

I was puzzled by the ultra logic displayed in the headline. Now that?

Sort of reminds me of the Checker cab/station wagons my Dad was considering trying to buy in about 1960. My Mom put an end to that idea

Checker cab station wagon is pretty cool. Whole another dimension. It's a full size wagon.

I always liked those cars....designed by Pininfarina. You can see the lineage of the design in some Ferrari hard roofed road cars of the early fifties (not wagons but the two door Americans).

I'd drive that bad boy!

It's not unlike my father's friend who, back in th 70's-80's, built his retirement nest egg by building hubcapped, stock appearing 427 cu.in. Ford (Miller Built) Pintos. Besides the rumble, painted and carpeted to match roll cage and the fat Mickey Thompson's stuffed into the tubs, it looked like any other POS Pinto.

I'd be lying if I said I would mind getting my hands on one now.
