Someone here is buying a Hyundai....

Lets see if he admits to it!

Actually, its not a bad car. Pretty roomy interior and nice exterior styling.

I feel that feel/quality/fitment is as good as a new Honda, if not better.

They've stepped it up a lot recently - I seriously considered one this summer when I was car shopping. What model?

Roomy interior?

I'm not that big of a guy 6'0 ~210 lean-ish and I felt cramped in the GC. I was coming from a Dodge Stealth/3000GT too

Maybe the Genesis sedan, most likely a Sonata, those things are selling like hotcakes. The new Veloster qualifies too if you can get past the love-or-hate styling

I am 6'1" and 175, so it would be cramped for me too, most likely. Anyway, I cant stand the Veloster, but the Sonata is selling really well, though I'd never buy one. MB all the way!!

What?

Does your car need something to tease at night while in the garage?

My sister is leasing a 2012 Accent hatchback. I'd say it's superior to a Honda Civic in most ways. Better fuel economy, 6 speed auto, interior of better quality materials, and more standard options, and comes in at 3K or so less than a base Civic. 40 mpg highway is easy to do as well.

Hyundai has some nice looking cars now, AFAIK they hired one of Audi's stylists. Honda on the other hand has been frozen in time for the last 6 years.

MB all the way if you can afford it or if you can forego utility and for sure! Hyundai and MB are two totally different levels. FWIW I ended up in a new VW, as time and space of maintaining my 2 MBs had gotten to be not worth it. I also wanted a fast car, something I can legitimately take to the autox gatherings and be competitive. Paying out the ass for a brand new car is justified by knowing I won't have any problems for like 6-7 years at least, all of which are covered by warantee. Plus no need for a bike rack

The Accent and Elantra are among the best compacts out there. She's not gonna win any style awards but it'll prove useful affordable and practical.

Thats where I am at with the wagon... No time to work on it, and no real motivation to work on it. It doesn't need that much work, but I feel like I am just throwing money into a black hole whenever I work on it.... Sad, as its the car that brought me to this site!

The person who is buying the Hyundai just wants something new with a warranty that he just doesn't have to put alot of $$$ into. But - like me, he wont get rid of the old gal, he will just put her away until the love has been rekindled... Whenever that might be.

Not married, no plans in the cards to get married either. At least, not for a while.
