WHIO-TV in Dayton used to have a guy by the name of Ken Jefferson, who did the morning news. You could always tell when he drank heavily the night before, because the looseness of his toungue was quite apparent. He'd make snide remarks about idiots int he news. There were a number of occasions that he'd refer to someone in the news as a "Dumb ass" for causing an automobile wreck.

You never knew what you were going to hear from him in the morning...

Oh man, that brings back memories. When I was a wee lad in the frontier town of Roswell, NM, we had one station, an NBC affiliate. Some homes had cable - 3 networks and "educational" TV from Albuquerque. We eventually got it when I was about 13.

But the NBC channel must have had access to the entire Warner Bros. catalog of early Porky Pig and crew cuz we saw them all. Great stuff.
