Junior prom I took my ex (asked her when we were dating), she ended up meeting a friend of mine whom she dated and he treated her like crap. We and her remained friends though.

Senior prom I went with a girl I had a crush on for a while...ended up dating her afterwards for a few months but college got in the way. We're still friends today.

Overall I was pretty lucky I guess, both girls were really good looking and nice people.

I am very familiar with the song. I believe there is a lot of truth in it. My first wife was all about her looks and herself. She was used to attracting attention and liked it.

My present wife is very good looking too but does not see herself that way. She is down to earth and fun loving....and most important is honest and loving. She does not seek or particularly enjoy attention from other men.

I didn't go to the Junior Prom. I took the one attractive girl that most guys lusted after, but was afraid to ask. I found out that night that she had skills other guys only dreamed of.

After she invited herself to my first wedding, rubbed her breasts against the back of my neck while I was sitting with the bride, and whispered in my ear that she never thought she'd see me in a tux again, i had to have her removed from the festivities.

I haven't heard anything about her since that night...and don't care to either.

The only thing significant is that 20+ years later my wife and I had our wedding reception at the same site. I remember checking it out before while deciding on where to have our reception and wondering why it looked so familiar. After talking a bit to the manager I remembered it as the site of both high school proms.
