Yesterday was the first time in about 5 months that it got above freezing!! It was 34 degrees!! January was mostly 40-50 below zero, on the Fahrenheit scale.

From now until November we in the Southwest prefer the Celsius scale. It makes it a little more pleasant to say," It's a balmy 40 degrees" rather than, "Holy moly! It's a hunnert and freaky fourteen and it ain't noon yet".

We went to Nevada on a roadtrip 2 years ago. That was horrible!!! 100+ degrees, I was so sunburnt, that I felt like a giant piece of toast. And of course, you can only get mens 14 shoes in black, white, or brown, and I had brown. So my big feet were roasted the whole time.

Ahhh, c'mon now! A nice pair of yellow-blue argyle socks, some plaid knee shorts, a snazzy striped (or tie-dyed for the true fashion setter) shirt capped off with a bright green bowler hat? Man, you'd fit right in in Vegas!
