It really depends where it's been over the years.
It's in San Bernadino, CA. If it's been in CA, it may not have significant rust.
It's been repainted and not nicely reassembled. Front&rear bumpers are out of alignment. Chrome trim on the rocker is missing. Paint job sucks (front view with open hood shows orange peel). Upholstry and dash is redone as well. It's probably more like a junkyard find, brought back to live.

In this area there are 'real good' auto body guys. They know how to bondo, sand and paint. Although, if is mechanically good, it may serve well for many years as a driver. In CA climate, that is.

Collector? No.
Here is a snap shot of another more authentically looking 250S.

A 230 is a different body type.

It should have California license plates. Seriously and notoriously underdescribed.

But I really do like those euro tombstone headlights on them.

Dash top has been recovered in some sort of weird vinyl as have the door toppers. Seat covers do not appear to be original as they don't seem to match the door panels, esp. the lighter areas seem to be two different materials/ colors. Shifter is BENT. Hydro compensator is shot. Hubcaps aren't right- should be body color. Rocker trim missing.

It looks beautiful but it's also highly detailed. The things that are wrong or missing bug me.

Plus, I've restored my share of "barn finds", and the big problem with them is MICE. You have no idea what that thing actually smells like, or what the heater will smell like.

It's interesting, but I'd really have to see it in person before I dove into it.

^^ Yes, copious use of Armor All (even on spare??) leads me to think that they are covering up something.

If it checked out to be rust free and mechanically sound, might be an interesting car. LeMons candidate??

Would like to see the documentation supporting the claim of only 49,000 miles.

A Euro would have amber rear turn signal segments.

Isn't a motorcoach a bus?

It's up to $5700. not worth it. not just because of the funky upholstery. the sitck is a nice touch, but it's worth about $4k, as a daily driver. to make it a showcar would cost about $10k, minimum, when you consider paint, interior, chrome etc. and good luck if the motor needs work. $3k for top end alone.

Yes you are correct. the 230 is a compact.
I would run from any that age that have been repainted. ~ Mutton done up as lamb !!
