Interesting and significant. The communist party is devoted to destroyig the American way of government. If they did not make their true colors known when running, the electorate has a right to know. If true, too bad they are so chicken**** that they hide their beliefs...

Before we have a lynching of Congressman West, lets recall a few facts.
1) He was answering a direct question. This is the same defense that works to remove culpability from President Obama regarding his comments on the Martin/Zimmerman tragedy.
2) The Congressional Progressive Caucus does have ties to American Socialists.

3) Can anyone deny that the CPC is anti capitalistic?

4) After all the dust cleared, it was proven that McCarthy was correct, and that agents of the USSR had infiltrated the US government to very high levels.

You may scoff, but there is not much real difference between a modern liberal, a progressive and a socialist or even a communist. All are for State control of its "subjects".
I prefer honest, and open debate. I'd like to see the subject debated in Congress, and made the cornerstone of the 2012 election. What is the best direction for the country? Are we, the People, better served by capitalism (with necessary oversight), or with some form of Statism?
Simply calling someone a "dirty commie " is too immature. We need real discussion on the issue.
